Vietnam is a land of rich beauty. From tall mountains and limestone formations to dense jungles, river deltas, and pristine beaches–its ecological treasures alone make it a unique destination. Combine this with a wonderful and fascinating culture and history, and you’ll soon experience why Vietnam is so special.
This extreme 7 days trekking and mountain bike trip takes you to the very heart of the north Vietnam mountain . You will discover some of the finest cycling trails in Vietnam has to offer. Beginning in Hanoi , take overnight train to Laocai we will cycle and climb five major passes from 1,500m to 2,000m.
Day 1:Hanoi- Night train
Meet at the hotel collecting bike from cyclist . Dinner and transfer to train station for night train to Laocai at 8 :30 PM. Overnight on train )
Day 2:LaoCai- Bac Ha ( B, L, D) – Mountain bike : 7/10 challenger Distance ride : +- 45 Km. D+: 1250m D -: 500m, 10% off road.
(Arrival Laocai at 6:00 AM in the morning, Breakfast in local restaurant with rice noodle soup , banana pancake, breads, coffee, tea… Transfer by van to An Ho stating riding to Phin Giang- Bao tan- Coc ly with 2 of climbing with 10% , more than 3 and 5 km per one climb. After more than 20 km we arrival Coc ly where we will take 60 minutes boat trip on Chay river. Bike will put on boat with clients. Arrival Bao Nhai , Coc Dao riding up to Bac Ha ( 38 km off road ) no minibus stand by behind group until to the hotel. Overnight in hotel. Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight in hotel Bac Ha
Overnight in CongFu hotel or same standard.
Day 3:BacHa – TaVanChu (B, L, D)- Trekking : 3/5 grade
Breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart at 08.30 am. Starting point of the trekking trail from hotel . It is an easy walk through the valley and terraced rice paddies for over 2 hours to a village of the Hmong ethnic peoples. Explore the village and then take a lunch break.
In the afternoon the trek takes nearly 4 hours going up and down hill through plantations, rice paddies and especially the palm forests of the hilly land. We will pass some hamlets of the Hmong and Tay minority people, arriving at the Centre of TaVan Chu village at about 5.00 pm. Explore this beautiful village in your free time before dinner. Home stay in a local house .

Day4:TaVanChu – ThaiGiangPho (B, L, D)- Trekking: 3/5 grade
Depart at 08.30am after breakfast at the home-stay. The trek today is easy along a large village path which connects this village to other villages of the Hmong, Tay and Nung ethnic peoples, all beautifully set along the mountain. We pay visits to many local homes along the way and everywhere people welcome visitors and treat them hospitably.
The trek in the afternoon goes uphill slightly to ThaiGiangPho . This region is inhabited mostly by the Flower Hmong who traditionally and practically build their homes on hill tops and cultivate the surrounding land to create perfect dwellings. We arrive in village at afternoon, and then take a leisurely walk to explore the surrounding countryside. Dinner and the home stay will be in a stilt house of the local people

Day5:ThaiGiangPho-BacHa (B, L, D): Trekking: 2/5 grade
After breakfast, leave village at about 08.30 am, to enjoy another day trekking along the beautiful valley. There is a good trail which winds up and down on the high hillsides gradually going uphill for the whole morning via local village. These people are very different from the Nung and Tay, who live in large villages in the lower lands. Lunch break and then descend along a narrow trail passing through tea farms and steep terraced paddies for 2 hours to BacHa. and overnight in Hotel in Bac Ha
Day summary: Trekking 5 hours, approx.14 km, grade 2 of 5/ hotel.
Day6:Bac ha- Hoangsuphi . Distance ride : +- 75 Km. D+: 1100m D-: 1600m, 20% off road
After breakfast in Hotel, clients start biking directly from hotel, climb above Bac Ha through Di Thau. Then ride off road in the mountain on a wide track to a mountain pass and long asphalt downhill to Xin man. Lunch with pasta and fruit.
In the afternoon, clients bike on asphalt about 15-20 km along River Chay before final transfer to Hoang Suphi. People motivated and very feet can ride all the stage long to Suphi (85 Km).

Day 7:Hoang Su phi – Bac Quang. Distance ride : +- 50Km. D+: 1100m D-: 1230m, single track, 100% off road
After breakfast clients start biking directly from hotel on flat asphalt road.
About 5 Km, an off road track (pretty wide) start climbing on the left. After many villages and a beautiful narrow suspension bridge, we enjoy a long single track section, starting on terraces by long climb, leading to an off road pass (about 1300m of elevation) and finishing on a long downhill through waterfalls and rain forest. Lunch with noodle soup and breads, fruits, tea coffee. Small transfer (about 30’) to Bac Quang. Night in Hotel. (B ,L )

Day 8: Hagiang – Hanoi . Distance biking : 55 km. D + 600m, D – 600m, 80% off road (B, L). Easy Mountain bike
Breakfast and then a bit transfer , then off road riding in country side 55 km, lunch. Driving back to Hanoi . End of service in Hanoi .
Note: Prices are based per person, double occupancy, with a separate cost for solo travelers. If you are traveling in a group but prefer single accommodations, a single supplement fee applies. Triple accommodations are not available in many of the destinations we visit.
